Two or three polypore want the same spot to grow on.

Turkey Tail like in appearance (but not actually) polypore is growing on or through another polypore which has only pores facing away from the branch on which both are growing.

This side view shows the polypores of the caps and the polypores of the other.  The caps have pores that appear to be teeth but actually are split pores that Bill Yule taught me about.
