Violet Tooth Polypore
Trichaptum biformis

A fallen tree with carpet of Violet Tooth growing on it.  Some caps were quite large.  This rosset looked attractive enough for a picture.

That measured about 8" across.

I tried making a tea from these and I found it invigorating.  I picked some more to try it again.
