On July 25, 2005 I photographed a small
polypore that appeared to be sweating, as shown on this page:
http://www.mushroomhunter.net/interestingm.htm
Neither I or anyone else was able to ID this 2" wide mushroom.
This year I found something similar, at the
same site in Grafton but different location, on July 16, 2006.

It is growing on wood that is in the ground but exposed at the surface.
Again, it is about 2" in the longest dimension. Appears to be sweating but the picture
was taken early in the morning and therefore that might be just dew that
gathered in droplets.
Bill Neill explained that this process is called guttation and those droplets
are produced by the mushroom.
Two days later, it looked like this:

It has not grown noticeably but it does not have the drops of liquid on the
surface and lost the reddish color.
