Spore Picture Test

Here is how the spores looked as taken by the Accu-Scope 3090 digital.
Scleroderma polyrhizon spores at 1000X.

Below is a picture taken by the Canon digital S2IS.  Notice the tunnel effect.

The spores have been further magnified by the 5MP camera and show more detail.  At 11 o'clock you see the microscope pointer.

Here the picture was cropped to eliminate the black border.  The spores are further magnified.

This process has some use but I wonder how long it would take to damage the lens of the camera, and or the eyepiece, since you have to hold the camera against the eyepiece of the scope?
