Second Annual Fungus Fair

Before going to Athol I went to Maple St.
in Shrewsbury and picked a Ganoderma Curtisii, in a bud stage. Looking on
the company lawn, nearby, I spotted several mushrooms popping out of the grass.
Under a crab apple tree but not far from some pine I saw two large (6"+) bolete.
Looking at the larger, which was in better shape, it looked like a King to me.
I brought it to the Fungus Fair. At the Fair I saw a whole box of them
that someone else found. Noah said it is a close specie to B. edulis but
it is not yet written up. He promises that the American Kings will be
updated soon...
