One growing alone.  White spore print  Overall impression is that it is an Amanita of some kind.
George R makes it a possible Yellow Blusher, aka Amanita flavorubescens.  Bill Yule thinks a better name is Amanita flavorubens.

Rips its own cap apart as it grows.

Another group of three.

They pushed up through gravel that is used to sand the parking lot in winter.

Top.  Looks like the universal veil was scraped off by the gravel as the mushroom emerged from the ground.  Cap about 3.5".

Partial yellow veil torn and blown over onto the cap at right and left.  The brown spot on the cap is probably a bruise caused when it forced itself up thought the hard soil.

Here is a section.  I can not tell if this has free gills or attached gills.
