When I cleared the leaf litter from around a cup fungus, I
found 2 white round things that looked like puffballs.
This one was about 1 1/4 " diameter.
Here I ripped the larger out and placed it beside the smaller
one.
Note the tough root sticking straight up on the top.
When I got home I cut it in half and this is what the section
looked like.
