The BMC- EFG had the first foray on 5/14/05

The foray site was in an abandoned apple orchard in Harvard.  The exact location is to be known by those members that took part in the foray.  A total of 16 Yellow Morel were found.

Herb Eisenberg was the first to spot the elusive quarry!  Below some members of EFG are looking at Herb's find of 6 Yellow Morel.

Herb is the one on one knee, with his head bowed.  A standard stance before Morel?
Herb offered to share his find but most members were too proud to take any.  Besides, they only wanted to see what they looked like, so that they could go forth and find their own.

Below is a picture of 5 of the 7 Morel found by Herb.  They were a bit dry since we have not had any rain for about 7 days.

Next, Randy Green spotted some.  She would eventually find 6 Yellow Morel also, even though she was worried that she would not recognize them when she saw them.  She was also the only one to find last year's puffball :o)

Harvey Schorr found 3 Morel.

I, Vladimir Gubenko, had the satisfaction of finding out that I was right in my prediction that it is a good site to find Morel.  This is my first time leading a foray for BMC and it was a success!  I had a very satisfying day!
