Mushrooms of Boylston MA
7/4/08
This is a handsome Amanita. It stood
4.5" high and had a cap 3" in diameter. This one has me stumped. It
could be Yellow Patches with the patches washed off by rain, but there is no
crumbly yellow stuff at the base of stem. Noah Siegel thinks it is Yellow
Patches, Amanita flavoconia or his common name of Sunshine
Amanita, which I prefer :o)
