Went back to see what the baby polypore developed into. It is still about
2" high but the cap grew some and the stem slimmed down. There is some
brown color developing in the stem.
The cap has developed some detail.
Here is a second one which is a bit further
in development.
It looks like Bill Neill was correct. I will go back in two days to take
more pictures and pick one of them for a spore print.
