This looks like a Russula of some kind.
Largest cap about 2.5". The stalk snapped off like a Russula. The
stalk was not solid, semi empty on the inside.
The top was very sticky on this moist
morning.
Side
The spore print looked tan colored to me.
The spores measured 7.7 x 5.8 microns.
