Mushroom and other things

The six Morel were next to brushy dead tree not to far from a dead apple tree.

This one was 6.5" tall.

Theses LBMs were hiding in a cavity at the base of an oak.

The largest cap was about an inch in diameter.

I met a curious Rose-breasted Grosbeak and his wife.  He was in a tree about 12' feat from me.  After that I was checking out the birds.  Later I noticed a nest not far off the ground.  I heard a robin muttering a half-hearted distress call.  I got on a small boulder and held the camera overhead to peek into the nest.
